1/22/2024 0 Comments Liquid notes 1.5.3.4 vstI already spent the entire day working out this conundrum haha.Īctually I thought that it seems like making a lot of notes on such is faster on either Marginnote or LiquidText since excerpting is where they're both good at. Then just revise at the end.Īny thoughts on this would be great thanks! And I do tend to excerpt and highlight a lot when reading. I suppose the experience varies greatly depending on the subject you're studying, but I'll just tell you my personal experience, you then decide if it's useful for your case. I have the paid version of Liquid Text, I've only tried the free marginnote & I didn't like it. I like to handwrite questions/equations in the canvas as I go through a document, & I've found that MN is simply not the best app for it. The software can be used in a studio, to reharmonize compositions, in live performances, to correct any wrong notes, played with a MIDI keyboard or it can be used in standalone mode, on a computer or laptop.Although, I agree that the excerpt function works & looks better in MN. You can use it to analyze your compositions and manipulate multi-track arrangements, without affecting your musical style. Assuming you know a few things about editing musical compositions, you will find that Liquid Notes can be very helpful and that it can make your work easier. You can also reset individual chords to their original state with a single click.Īlthough there is not much to be said about Liquid Notes in terms of appearance, there is more than enough to be said about its functionality. All chords are color coded, based on your changes. You can set them to Tonic, Subdominant and Dominant. The vertical sliders can be used to change the basic cadence of the chords. The farther you turn a knob in a certain direction, the more notes will be added and vice versa. Liquid Notes will substitute chords with conventional or unconventional ones, depending on the direction in which you turn the knobs. You can rotate the knobs to substitute chords with new ones and to increase or decrease tension. Each set of knobs and sliders corresponds to a certain chord. You can use the software's sample composition, load your own MIDI files or work with a loaded composition, from your sequencer. The user interface displays a large number of knobs and vertical sliders, but its layout is quite simple and it should not take long to get used to it. The good news is that it takes up to a minute to complete the entire installation process. Besides its core components, the setup wizard will install a series of third party tools and you must allow these changes, if you want Liquid Notes to work. The software is compatible with all modern Windows and Mac OS X platforms. It encourages you to experiment with chords and scales, to substitute them and alter their functions, add tensions and more, to boost the effect of your music. The software can integrate in any digital audio workstations and it can route through the software instruments of your preferred sequencer, but it can also work as a standalone solution. Liquid Notes can help you come up with new ideas for your composition, without tampering with your final product. Creating a musical composition and making it sound right involves a lot of creativity.
